Seckel Project We contracted with this South Salem couple to completely re-do their yard. The grass was replaced with new sod lawn and new amended top soil. They wanted a front planter along the house to hide the concrete foundation, this we did with a retaining wall, hand stacked with boulders from Abiqua Forest products. The pavers are the Park and Plaza stone from Western Interlock in the Northwest Slate blend. The back lawn was hydro seeded with new amended top soil, complete with new Hunter Industries sprinkler system. The back yard deck was completely re-built with pressure treated wood, Trex synthetic deck and PVC vinyl railing. Click here to view this project! |

Ken Dalke Residence This project was designed on paper and installed by us, project involved a large water feature in a difficult location. The location was at the front entrance, area was very flat and somewhat in a sunken grade. We imported large boulders that needed the use of both our large and small excavator to set in place. Once the boulders were set the fountain took on some neat character that only the large boulders could accomplish. Plant materials, ryegrass sod lawn, imported topsoil, imported compost, Hunter drip irrigation for plants and rotor spray for lawn, 24 volt low voltage lighting, fir bark dust. Barrios Residence This is another Park and Plaza stone driveway, patio and walkway project, this project had a lot of small nooks and crannys to detail and is one of the best examples of a before and after project. Jenkins Residence I love this simple yet functional design build yard in West Salem. Owners wanted to access the property along the creek and have youg children and wanted to create a pathway to access the entire property. We used crushed quarry ¼ minus gravel for the pathways, both economical and functional. They had a very steep bank off the back of the house but didn’t want the industrial look of the stack concrete block so we decided on nice looking black basalt boulders set in with our excavator. Rygrass sod lawn, sprinkler system and plant materials finished off this beautiful residence in West Salem. Click here to view this project! |

Simpson and Fisher This West Salem project was a challenge, consisting of a new back yard brick patio with fireplace and water feature. We used the Jamestown park and plaza for the patio, Anchor Diamond block for the main walls, anchored into the bank and pinned in the hill for the foundtaion. On top of the Anchor wall we built the patio walls out of the Tegula wall block in the sandstone blend from Western Interlock. The stairs to access the back yard along the house were built from Anchor step blocks by Willamette Graystone, they worked well and blended in to the rest of the hardscape areas. New sod lawn, Hunter sprinkler system, plant materials, barkdust, imported topsoil, soil amendments, lots of rock for the base of the patio and all of the materials were hauled into the back yard with 5 gallon buckets due to lack of access. Griffin Residence This Newberg Oregon owner had a wood retaining wall installed by another contractor years earlier that was falling apart. We removed the old wall, moved a lot of soil and installed the new Anchor Diamond walls and steps. We also devised a way to route the seasonal creek, water flow that ran through the back of the property by running the creek under ground through a portion of the back yard thus drying out the overall lower back area. New sod lawn, Hunter sprinkler system, natural pond conversion, imported soil, rock, soil amendments. Click here to view this project! |
